One night a man had a dream. He dreamed
he was walking along the beach with the LORD.
Across the sky flashed scenes from his life.
For each scene he noticed two sets of
footprints in the sand: one belonging
to him, and the other to the LORD.
When the last scene of his life flashed before him,
he looked back at the footprints in the sand.
He noticed that many times along the path of
his life there was only one set of footprints.
He also noticed that it happened at the very
lowest and saddest times in his life.
This really bothered him and he
questioned the LORD about it:
"LORD, you said that once I decided to follow
you, you'd walk with me all the way.
But I have noticed that during the most
troublesome times in my life,
there is only one set of footprints.
I don't understand why when
I needed you most you would leave me."
The LORD replied:
"My son, my precious child,
I love you and I would never leave you.
During your times of trial and suffering,
when you see only one set of footprints,
it was then that I carried you."

Learn to love and learn to let go, Look above and what It shows? You see, the sky is very vast, and so is this world and its population. Our affection towards somebody might last long, but we have assorted emotions in ourself, don't let affection take it all. Yes, affection might have all the other feelings in it as well, but the package is not that good if you can't afford it.
It sure hurts more or less when you saw the girl you like with her boyfriend. But what is more important is that you would be able to cheer her up when she is sad and be able to at least communicate with her. Being unable to talk to the one you like might be hellish, and it takes away you last chance of come back in succeeding a relationship.
What is that much of contrast between a friend and a boyfriend if you can think from another perspective? Yes, a boyfriend sure does have more advantages compared to a friend, but still, it is all about showing her your care. Though this world is realistic, this is not too much dramatic. We don't think about ONE SINGLE THING 24 hours a day no matter how sad, how hurt or how pain we are. Some people looks very sad for a long time because they simply couldn't abandon the feeling that switching between emotions instantly instead of gradually looks awkward. We tend to think about other thing when we're supposed to concentrate in thinking how sad we are, no matter what. The matter is that whether you're optimist enough to look cheerful again as fast as possible.
Think clearly, feel freely, and you shall see the sun shining brighter than usual. Don't bind yourself to only one thing. Human tend to seek more than one to bind to in their life.

Hmm... to think about love in the idealistic way such as that love will always be sweet and smooth all the way to eternity is a bunch of immature crap. Love as how we see in drama/movie or any other sources are always made in a idealistic way. How they meet under the arrangement of fate, how they love other forever and ever in peace in all those fairy tales, they're not practical. Reality is not cruel, it just have some extra taste in it.
Human often have affection towards more than one person. At first you might think that I'll only pay attention my girlfriend/boyfriend and not any other. But when you really ask yourself, I believe that sometimes you'll look at other. No matter how little it is. Don't take love as all, it is just part of all. Don't throw all your feeling and devotion into it. Eternity is a funny word, used on us who have limited time. However, the opposition will usually be flattered when you said that you're going to be with them for eternity
Love is merely a deeper definition of care, that usually make one more responsible and stuff, especially when we first start to love someone. Love will fade, completely or not, is another matter. When two person had been together for a long time, no doubt that they will not feel as good as when they first start to date/come together. They might flashback about what happened when they first date and say about how good they feel at that time. But well, they don't really get the feeling back anyway, they're just telling you what they remember from that time, or the feeling they're now.
Human is a social animal, they need a partner around. Be caring and patient, and may you find a partner that suits you well. Sweet, sour, bitter or whatever doesn't matter, as long as you all still have each other to taste them together. Take in the count of life's pressure and try to suit yourself with it. Being tolerative is a good way to maintain a relationship. (Don't take those kiddo love in count, they usually doesn't have that much of affection. Do they?)
